Expected to Rise in 2024

At the end of 2023, the FED has telegraphed lower interest rates to be expected in 2024. How does this impact the local SF Bay Area real estate? 


Most of the housing demand of 2023 was unfulfilled due to historically low inventory and a rapid rise in interest rates. As a result, lower mortgage rates in 2024 will result in higher competition and therefore higher purchase prices for buyers.
